Capsule wardrobe – the marine style

In the last post I have presented the marine style, and this post will show you a corresponding capsule wardrobe. I built it using my own clothes, but I think it will be a good example and inspiration. Some items here belong to my clothing base, some are suitable for the summer season, and some have a typical mariniere chic. In addition to this example, at the end of the article you will find a downloadable form characteristic for this blog: something that will facilitate composing such garments and creating sets. This second part of the brochure is universal for all owners of capsule wardrobes, regardless of style and purpose, it can also be safely used by those who do not use the capsules.

In use

This capsule contains things for work, going out with friends, a date and for every day. As I mentioned in the previous post, in marine style clothes simply fit together. So it’s easy to compose the right outfits and many things can be used repeatedly. Out of 24 elements, 11 come from the clothing base. Nothing was bought either in my case. I received two new items as a birthday present. It is true that I plan to buy another two or three things (a t-shirt, a long-sleeve t-shirt and a hooded sweatshirt for outdoor activities on colder days), but really these 5 new things (including two unplanned) are more than enough for my wardrobe throughout the summer season! 

If your wardrobe does not contain enough elements to build a marine capsule and you need to shop, then in my opinion you should get 1-2 items with stripes (eg a T-shirt or dress) and a white or navy blue jacket, as well as a navy blue dress or skirt. Recently, I rarely use the accessories (time for a change), but I think that this style leaves a lot of room to choose from.

As I mentioned, practically everything mixes and matches together in this capsule. Not every thing I can wear for example for a business meeting, but for sure this capsule will not leave me without a solution in any situation. If you like navy blue and white, classic combinations and clothes that matches easily you will benefit from marine style capsule.
